Yep, this weekend marks the end of summer and then I'm breaking out my boots and sweaters. Just put this blanket coat in the shop. The colors are so lovely! Fall. Is. Coming.

I re-purposed this dress from an 80's gem I thrifted and I decided to debut it on our first day in Dublin.

Canada is Having the Most Fun
While we paid veteran designers like Ralph Lauren to design uniforms (and then have them made in China) for our Olympic athletes and the UK had rock royalty like Stella McCartney design theirs, you would think that those teams would stand out for style. But as a vintage lover I think it's Canada that did it best. At the 2010 winter games in Vancouver, the athletes Cowichan sweaters, made by Hudson Bay, left me scouring the internet to find one of my own. This year their 80's style denim jacket with Canadian pride patches, also made by Hudson Bay, says to me that Canada is having the most fun. Everyone else is over thinking it.

Unexpected Olympic Crush
Seriously addicted to watching German gymnastics metal winner Marcel Nguyen.
image from here.
His tattoo peeps out of his gymnastics uniform, it reads: Pain is temporary. Pride is forever. His parents are a German and Vietnamese.

Last Night Marcel won the men's individual silver metal.
