Just thought I'd share my newest vintage book find, the 1963 Italian Encyclopedia of Women. 524 pages of tips on how to be the perfect 60's women. Perhaps it's everything you would ever need to know. Check out some of my favorite pages.

What are You Listening to this Christmas?
I love listening to the classic songs at Christmas but what I really look forward to are the new albums and songs released each year. An original new song, a contemporary artist doing a new take on an old classic, love it! This year there were a few good ones with a vintage feel that I have already put on my playlist.
David Ian: Christmas Time with You: Vintage Christmas
She and Him: Christmas Day: A Very She and Him Christmas
Winter Moon by Mindy Gledhill: Winter Moon
What new songs are you digging this year? I'd love to hear your picks!!

Christmas with Meg Ryan's Hair
When it comes to watching movies at christmas time, I often choose to watch classics that aren't "Christmas movies" but films that have memorable Christmas sceenes. This week I'm talking about When Harry Met Sally and You've got Mail, you know the Meg Ryan Christmas'. This time it's got me thinking about how much Ms. Ryan has influenced my hair styles. That short, perky, quarky, cute blond bob that I keep going back to. I should just put a name on it, "I'll take the Meg Ryan please".

Waiting for the Mail Man
Everybody knows that when Christmas shopping for others, you always find something for yourself. It's an inevitable fact of life. When I saw this cardigan from Etsy shop SouthwestVintage I knew that it would be snapped up fast by someone so why not let it be me?! I can't wait to wear this at Sundance this year.

Spend Your Sunday...
...Watching House of Eliott.
I have been spending the weekend watching the 90's BBC series House of Eliott. I swear that it was written for me. A period television program, or should I say programme, set in the 1920's. It centers around two sisters Beatrice and Evie, who started with nothing and built a modern and successful fahion house in a world of men who just didn't believe that 2 silly girls could run a business.
The entire 3 seasons are on You Tube. Here is the first episode from the first season. Check it out and I bet you'll be hooked, even for the vintage clothes alone!

Boop Boop a Doop
Helen Kane, the original Betty Boop. A one of kind lady with a voice that just can't be copied (accept by a cartoon). My next Halloween costume, yes! Now I have 9 months to learn to copy that voice.
