It's a D&G Winter
The Autumn/Winter '10-'11 collection from Dolce and Gabbana was very Heidi meets The Sound of Music meets Eskimo Chic. It was full of snowflake sweaters, fur boots, and alpine prints. See a peek here:

I'm So Excited
Last night a new show premiered on HBO. I, for one, am terribly excited and it sets my vintage heart a flutter because this show begins with Prohibition in 1920! A jazz age gangsta drama set in New Jersey called Boardwalk Empire. Hooray!
It stars Steve Buscemi and is brought to you by none other Martin Scorsese. I will be watching for a revival of fabulous flappers, sneaky under the table gin romps, and jazz music greats, again hooray!
Who's with me? Did you see it? What do you think? Stay tuned.

The Fashion of MTM
On those days while I'm waiting for a new Mad Men episode to come out I have been watching vintage Mary Tyler Moore shows. Her 70's style is so... well, 70's! She sports so many stylish outfits, I just enjoy the endless inspiration. This post is dedicated to MTM, she's gona make it after all.

Italian Fashion Icon: Anna Piaggi
For those who don't know, Anna Piaggi is a fashion writer. She has written for several magazines such as Italian Vogue and Vanity. She has to say the least an excentric style. Piaggi has a large clothes collection, including 2865 dresses and 265 pairs of shoes, according to a 2006 exhibition at the V&A Museum in London. She dresses in an exuberant, unique and eclectic way, never appearing in the same outfit more than once in public.
She is known especially for double page spreads in the Italian Vogue, where her artistic flair has been given free expression in a montage of images and text. Since 1969, she has used a bright red manua typewriter for her work.
Such is her influence and knowledge in the fashion world, Manolo Blahnik once dubbed her as 'The world's last great authority on frocks'. She's 74 years old and still a designers muse. I hope I have that crazy sense of style when I am that age.

Italian Wedding Fashion
We went to a beautiful wedding over the weekend which had a meet 'n' greet on Friday, the wedding on Saturday, and a brunch on Sunday. So there were so many fashion moments. Here are a few I wanted to share with you guys.
The bride had a hard time getting her dress in the car:
This dress, worn by the sister of the bride, was vintage (I asked)!
Here is what I wore, it was a vintage teal lace dress I bought at the antique market for 5 Euros.
